Running Away From Me is a must read book for anyone suffering from addiction or who has a loved one suffering from this disease. It tells David’s story of his battles with addiction and the lengths he went to in feeding it.

I could NOT put this book down until the end and felt disappointment when it did end. David’s journey written from the perspective of a drug induced mind was horrifying, sad and yet still enlightening. There is a world out there that the majority of us may never know exists. As a parent myself I think that ALL parents should read this book to see that our children’s/teenagers conceivably “normal” behavior might not be so normal after all. I only wish I could have read this memoir earlier in the life of my own children.
